Bridal Alterations
Step 1
It all begins with a dress…and a consultation. The initial booking for your alterations should be made 10-12 weeks prior to your appointment.
This timeline helps you, and us, as we dive deeper into the perfect fit. A number of things can change between the time you get your dress and your wedding date, so we eliminate that by having a proven schedule.
Step 2
Once you have completed your consultation, we have already started the work on your dress. Your second appointment will be scheduled after the first round of alterations.
During this appointment, you will again try on the dress to view the work we have done, but this time is very important for us as we again take more photos, more measurements, and a closer look at the details required to further improve your dress.
Step 3
At this point, you are seeing a drastic change and realizing why professional, custom alterations are so important to your big day.
During this appointment, we will continue to pin and make minor adjustments to your body. Sometimes the body changes within a couple weeks of your wedding, so we are here to navigate those changes and make sure that your dress is ready for them!
Step 4
Your dress is, most times, ready for pickup. Very intricate designs and reconstructions may take more than four appointments, though that would be discussed during the previous appointments to ensure all parties are on the same page. Your dress has now been transformed into THE dress and is ready to be paid for and taken home. All pressing and bagging has also been completed, ensuring you are ready to put it on and GET MARRIED.
